Hi, thanks
for visiting my blog. Let’s talk about the topics we learned during the week of
April 2nd and 4th.
Firstly, on
April 2nd we learned about the “Kolb’s experiential learning cycle”
which has four stages:
1-Concrete
experience: On this stage people learn through real life experiences or
actions.
2-Reflective
observation: After having an experience, learners reflect on the experiences,
for example, actions, feelings and what they learned from it.
3-Abstract
conceptualization: then learners use theories, logical approaches or concepts.
They try to understand practical issues or problems.
4-Active
experimentation:
On the
other hand, there are 4 learning dimensions: Diverging, assimilating,
converging and accommodating. We also did Kolb’s test and according to my
results, I’m “converging”, in simple words this is about preferring to use
abstract conceptualization and active experimentation and it is related to
problem-solving and practical application of ideas, often focusing on technical
tasks and finding practical solutions.
On April 4th we attended classes as usual, unfortunately, Regina couldn’t go, so we agreed to have a Zoom meeting to discuss the ideas for our presentations for next week, we also did a research to create our Canva presentation. Finally, we discussed the activities we will do during our presentation.
