Hi, it is great to have you back on my blog.
During this week we learned more about the multiple intelligences through different presentations on April 9th and 11th.
On April 9th
we started with the presentations and my group was the first. We enjoyed
talking about verbal-linguistic intelligence which is about the sensitivity to
spoken and written language, as well as the ability to learn languages, and
effectively use language to express oneself, and as an activity, we did a
roleplay about the elections. We made three groups, and each group selected
their candidate for president who were Genesis, Marvin and Steffany for the
class president. At the end of this activity, Steffany won the elections, by
the way they did a great job.
After our
presentation, Fatima’s group talked about mathematical intelligence which involves
logical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities and as activity they
let us resolve some mathematical problems.
Finally, we
listened to Alejandra’s presentation. They talked about one of my favorite intelligences
which is musical intelligence. This intelligence is about having sensitivity to
rhythm, melody, pitch, and tone. They explained the characteristics, also they
mentioned some famous people and the importance of developing this intelligence
in the classroom. They had an entertaining activity which was about guessing
the name of a song by listening to a few seconds of the song.
On April
11th we continued learning about the multiple intelligences. During this class
we listened to Saul’s group, they talked about Visual-spatial intelligence
which is the ability to create a mental model of spatial spaces. During their
activity we made groups, then we watched a story and answered some questions,
after that we played memory and we made a tangram puzzle, finally, we played
Pictionary, unfortunately didn’t win on this activity, but we had a good time
on these activities.
