Hi! Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
During classes from March 12th and March 14th, we learned about the multiple intelligences and we had an interesting test.
The theory
about multiple intelligences was developed by Dr. Howard Gardner in 1983 and it
focuses on how students learn and their learning styles. It also states that
all people learn in different ways, for example, by listening or using the
body, etc.
According
to the multiple intelligence theory, there are 9 intelligences which are
verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, bodily-kinesthetic,
musical-rhythmic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic and existential.
verbal-linguistic is about being good with
words, language and communication. Logical mathematics is about using numbers, reasoning,
and logic. Visual-spacial is when someone is good at visualizing things,
understanding locations. Musical rhythm is having the ability to understand
pitches, tones, music and rhythms. Bodily-kinesthetic is about using the body
and expressing oneself through movement. Interpersonal intelligence is about
knowing how to interact with other people. The intrapersonal is about
understanding yourself and your own thoughts and feelings. Naturalist
intelligence is about appreciating nature (animals and plants) and existential
intelligence is analyzing questions about human existence.
On March 14th
we did a multiple intelligence test and basically, we had to rate the answer
with 0, 1 or 2 then we had to calculate the results, for example, if we had one
answer of 0 to 4 we had to color a portion of the intelligence wheel and if we
had a result from 5 to 7 we had to color until a part that had dots and if had
from 8 to 10 we had to color the whole portion. At the end we had to have the
intelligence wheel based on our answers; my results are the following:
Although I
didn’t agree with my results, I think tests like this are good to keep learning
about our intelligences.
